India Power Corporation Ltd has been instrumental in touching lives and bringing smiles in the lives of people as it has always considered itself to be a People's company with the primary objective to grow as the society grows. India Power believes in serving the community to the best of its abilities and in this time of crisis, it has stepped forward to serve the needy.
Since the past 25 days, team India Power has been distributing food items to the people in need within their licensed area in Asansol-Ranigunj belt. The Power Team has been directly involved in this noble task. The team started off with distributing 4-5 kgs of rice, 2kgs wheat flour, 2 kgs potatoes, 1-1/2 kg daal and biscuit packets in Asansol, Ranigunj and Andal which includes Tirat, Subhaspally (Near Burnpur), Porida (Near Kalla Hospital), Mithani village (Near Newtown Asansol), Mahisila Colony, Alladih (mithon-sidhabari) Tribal areas, Gopalpur,P.N. Malia Road, Ranigunj, Gindi para, Bawri para, Turi para (Seebpore are). It has also distributed bags of 5kgs rice in Pandabeshwar region.
On an average per day 600 packets of food has been distributed in these last 25 days.
The relief work has been done directly by Team India Power, through people representatives and local administration and some of it has been executed in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission, Asansol.
Team India Power extended its support going beyond its licensed area and reach out to the people in some parts of Bankura and Purba Midnapore districts of West Bengal, as well.
It has also donated Personal Protection Equipments (PPE) including 3000 units of masks, 6000 units of gloves and 300 bottles of hand sanitizer to Haldia Development Authority.
Team India Power has delivered hope and relief to over 15,000 families and continues to do so for the next 10 days to reach out to at least another 3000-3500 people with an average distribution of 300-350 packets of food items per day not only within the radius of our license area but also in parts of Bakura and Purba Midnapore regions of West Bengal.
Their endeavours of fighting this pandemic and Adding Power to Life will continue in line with the primary principles of the Kanoria Foundation: Dharma (Duty) and Karma (Work).
