As the Thinking Capital of the Country, Kolkata has always shown interests in Quizzing, popularly known as the "Game of the Mind". So much so, that, the country traces its first documented, formal quiz in 1967 at Christ the King Church Parish Hall in the then Calcutta. Keeping that tradition alive The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry has organised its first ever Marketing Quiz "What's your MQ?" to titillate the grey cells of the quizzing fraternity on 7th February 2020, Friday at the Williamson Magor Hall, in the Bengal Chamber premises.
The Chamber, as a facilitator, felt the need of knowledge sharing amongst the Marketing veterans, budding executives and management students in an engaging atmosphere where learning new approaches can be fun. Quizzing is one such effective medium where the exchange of thoughts and ideas can benefits the Marketing community at large. Keeping this idea in mind The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized a Marketing Quiz comprising all aspects of the business - starting from Market Strategy to advertising and branding to channel distribution as a whole. The foremost objective of the Marketing Quiz was to create an interactive platform where students and veterans can exchange knowledge, providing an opportunity to the Management students to excel beyond academics and secure their future. We believed this Quiz would not only enhance the scope of learning, it would also encourage team spirit- a must have quality in today's professional world.
The event saw a good turnout both from the corporate world and from the student fraternity. Corporate like Hindustan Unilever Ltd, ITC sent multiple teams.
