The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized "The Rising Studentpreneurs 2020: The Annual Idea Hunt" at Williamson Magor Hall, The Bengal Chamber Premises on January 9th, 2020. "The Annual Idea Hunt" aimed at cultivating the entrepreneurial skills amongst the students and all the aspirants by offering a robust platform to showcase their ideas and explore the business viability of their concepts. The contest invited all student innovators, thinkers and makers of the country to join the revolution, who have a dream to create something new, aspire to make a difference, contribute to India's success towards becoming an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub.
The Juries for this event were:

▪ Mr. Arijit Bhattacharyya, Founder, Virtual Infocom.
▪ Dr. Siddhartha Das, Professor - Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering & Executive Advisor, Science & Technology Entrepreneurs' Park (STEP).
Welcome address was by Chief Jury of The Rising Studentpreneurs 2020, Mr. Aloke Mukherjea, Past President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry. This contest was targeted for the College students, with a vision to encourage, support and provide an opportunity to explore and bring on-board original and new ideas which may lead them to be the future Entrepreneurs to achieve success in their journey to excellence.
Participants were encouraged to compete with their projects, concepts and innovative ideas. All the futuristic, creative, innovative, sustainable projects/concepts were accepted. Projects which synchronise with the current needs of the industries and had the potential to disrupt the current course of business were recognised and felicitated.
Total application received - 200, out of which 10 applications were shortlisted by the Chief Jury Mr. Aloke Mookherjea, Past President, BCC&I. These 10 applicants had presented their ideas infront of the Jury panel on 9th January 2020 at Wiiliamson Magor Hall, The Bengal Chamber Premises. Finally 5 best ideas were selected. The applicants received certificates and trophies. The programme was attended by close to 200 people.
