The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a Seminar on GST - 'E-Invoicing, New Returns, Handling Litigations via Data Analytics', Investigations under GST and Customs & Recent WTO ruling on Export promotion schemes and Proposed New Incentive Schemes on 10th January, 2020 in the Chamber premises.
The seminar will sensitise manufacturers, service providers, exporters and importers on a) Electronic invoicing, new returns to be introduced in 2020 b) Investigation under GST and Customs by various investigation agencies - rights and responsibilities during and after Investigation c) Recent WTO ruling on Export promotion schemes, d) Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP).
Technical Session I on 'E-Invoicing, New Returns, Handling Litigations via Data Analytics' and Investigations under GST and Customs was addressed by Mr. Vivek Jalan, Co-Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP and Mr. Pulak Saha, Partner - Tax & Regulatory Services, Price Waterhouse & Co. LLP. Mr. T B Chatterjee, Chairperson Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Senior Partner & Mentor, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP and Ms. Anindita Chatterjee, Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP deliberated on the Technical Sessions II & III on WTO Ruling on key export subsidy schemes including the one for special economic zones and Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) . features and effects.
The deliberations after each session were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Seminar was attended by close to 50 delegates.
