The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with JIS University organized the 9th edition of the Chamber's Technology Quiz - an Inter College Quiz Fest on 15th February 2020 at JIS University, Agarpara. In the previous years, The Chamber successfully organized Tech Quiz during 2009 to 2019. This year, more than 300 students in 160 teams participated in this event from across various Colleges in Bengal and Eastern India.
Mr. Auritro Chowdhury and Mr. Kingshuk Biswas, the Quiz Masters, for the day showed great enthusiasm and made the Quiz an exciting affair. The programme was well received by the participants. The day also saw an active and engaging audience throughout all the sessions.
The Winners were students from Jadavpur University. The positions of first and second runners up were held by NIT, Jamshedpur. The winners were awarded with a prize money of Rs. 40,000/-. The 1st Runner Up and the 2nd Runner Up were awarded Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- respectively.
During the Inaugural Session, Prof. (Dr.) B C Mal, Vice Chancellor, JISU stated that it's a wonderful joint venture between educational institutes and shared his pleasure of having an industry body like The Bengal Chamber continue with this initiative for so many years. He added that this allows a wonderful platform of student interaction, knowledge sharing and exchange of technological updates.
