The Bengal Chamber of Commerce jointly with SBI General Insurance Company Limited organised two sessions of Webinar on 'Safeguarding MSMEs through General Insurance Policies in the Wake of Covid 19 Pandemic' on 5th September & 12th September, 2020 on ZOOM from 4pm-5pm.
The two sessions unfolded strategies to address various risks associated with MSME businesses ranging from Civil Liabilities, Privacy Damage, System Damage, Business Interruption, Computer Virus Transmission and Hackings, Multi media Liability among others and will emphasize on issues like Mandatory Public Liability Policy, Fire Insurance Policy, All Risk Insurance Policy, Impact of Under Insurance in Policy, Claim Settlements and other pertaining issues.
Speakers of Session 1 were Mr. Siladitya Chaudhuri, NSM - SME, SBI General Insurance Company Limited and Ms. Pragnya Acharya, (Underwriting Head Liability & Casualty), SBI General Insurance Company Limited.
Focus of Session 1 was "Importance of New Age Liability Policies to safeguard small and medium enterprises in the wake of digital and work from home scenarios".
Speakers of Session 2 were Mr. Siladitya Chaudhuri, NSM - SME, SBI General Insurance Company Limited, Mr Pankaj Verma, National Head-Market Underwriting, SBI General Insurance Company Limited and Dr. Mou Sen, Joint Director, Department of MSME, Govt. of West Bengal.
Focus of Session 2 was : "Important covers of Property Commercial Insurance & Group Health Policies for workers and employees", to ensure SME units run uninterruptedly in the midst of the Covid pandemic.
Participation received for this webinar was from the MSMEs who belonged to Manufacturing as well as Service sectors for example, metals, mining engineering, electrical equipment, leather, garments, ITeS, hospitality and other sectors.
