The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized "Web Series on Doing Business in Asia, GST, Customs & Foreign Trade Policy" on 24th April, 27th April & 29th April, 2020 on Zoom.

The objective of the Web Series is to learn from the Experts about the impact on businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and best practices may be applied and also about recent updates and notifications in GST, Customs and Foreign Trade Policy.

Chatterjee, Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Sr. Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP, deliberated on Day 1, 24th April, 2020 on Doing Business in other Asian Countries vis-a-vis doing business in India. The discussion was on comparison of Regulatory Matters, FDI Issues, Socio-Cultural-Economic Matters & Repatriation Issues with China, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Russia post Lockdown. Day 3: 29th April 2020 Session was on the Discussion on Important Case Laws : To be used in Replying to Notices. The Case Laws were discussed by Mr. Sushil Goyal, FCA, Vice-Chairman Indirect Taxes Committee - Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Mr. Soumick Das, Manager Indirect Taxation, Larsen & Toubro. The Session was moderated by Mr. Arun Agarwal, K N Jain & Co.

The deliberations after each session were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The 3 Days Webinar was attended by close to 35 delegates.
