The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with The Institute of Cost Accountants of India - Eastern India Regional Council, had organized a Half-Day Seminar on "MCA Progressive Reforms - Ease of Doing Business in India", on 15th November, 2019 in the J.N. Bose Auditorium, CMA Bhawan. Welcome address was given by CMA Arundhati Basu, Chairperson, Members in Industry Committee, ICAI-EIRC. Keynote Speaker of the Seminar was CMA Biswarup Basu, Vice President, ICAI and Shri D.Bandopadhyay, ICLS, Regional Director, Eastern Region, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India was the Chief Guest.
The Technical Session I on MCA Progressive Reforms - Ease of Doing Business was addressed by CS Ravi Varma. Mr. T. B. Chatterjee, Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Senior Partner & Mentor, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP addressed the Technical Session II on FDI, SEZ, and Opening of Regional Market to Indians via "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)".
The last Technical Session on GST including Refund, Customs, FTP, Draw Back-MEIS Scheme, and Income Tax was addressed by Mr. Vivek Jalan, Co-Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP.
The deliberations after each technical session were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Seminar was attended by close to seventy delegates.
