The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized the Post-Budget analysis session "Union Budget 2020-21: An In-depth Analysis" on 3rd February, 2020 in the Williamson Magor Hall, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Post-Budget analysis session commenced with networking breakfast.
The 1st Session was a Panel Discussion on in-depth analysis of the Union Budget 2020-21 by the experts from the Industry and Academics. The Panelists were Mr. B. B. Chatterjee, President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Director, ITC Infotech India Limited, Mr. P. S. Bhattacharyya, Chairperson, Mining and Minerals Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Former Chairman, Coal India Limited, Mr. Kalyan Kar, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Inqube Innoventures Pvt. Ltd. and Mentor, WEBEL-BCC&I Tech Incubation Center, Prof Abhirup Sarkar, Professor of Economics, Indian Statistical Institute and Chairman, WBIDFC and WBFC and Mr. Ambarish Dasgupta, Former President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Founder and Senior Partner, Intueri Consulting LLP. Mr. Dasgupta also moderated the Panel Discussion.
It was followed by experts. comments on implications of the Budget on Direct & Indirect Taxes by Mr. Pallav Gupta, Chairperson - Direct Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head - Corporate Taxation, ITC Limited (Holding Company), Russell Credit Limited, Mr. T B Chatterjee, Chairperson, Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Senior Partner & Mentor, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP and Mr. Vivek Jalan, Co Chairperson, Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP.
Mr. Arnab Basu, Chairperson, IT Committee & Managing Committee Member, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Managing Partner - East, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Pvt. Ltd deliberated the concluding remarks.
