E-INVOICING IN INDIA MANDATORY FROM 1 OCTOBER 2020

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an 'Online Session on E-Invoicing' on 1st September, 2020 on Zoom.

Welcome and Introductory Address on E-Invoicing under GST was given by Mr. T. B. Chatterjee, Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services (North) LLP.

Technical Session I covered E-Invoicing provisions as per GST, Various notifications on E-invoicing, Necessity for E-Invoicing & benefits of E-invoicing and Penal consequences of non compliance. The Session was conducted by Mr. Shrenik Mehata, Indirect Tax Manager, Price Waterhouse & Co. LLP.

Mr. Subhasish Sarkar, Partner - North, Tax Connect Advisory Services (North) LLP addressed the Technical Session II along with Velocis Team. The Session covered E-invoicing schemes, Essential features of E-invoicing, Digitization under E-invoicing, Data transfer protocols & checks, GST portal features and short demo of process of E-invoicing.

The Technical Sessions were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Online Session on E-Invoicing was attended by more than 120 delegates.
