The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized a Half-Day Seminar on Direct Taxes on 8th November, 2019 in the Chamber premises in association with Pricewaterhouse Coopers Private Limited. Welcome address was given by Mr. Pallav Gupta, Chairperson - Direct Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Head - Corporate Taxation, ITC Limited (Holding Company) Russell Credit Limited. After the welcome address the Chairperson deliberated the keynote address of the Seminar, which had been organized focussing on various provisions of the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Ordinance 2019.

Mr. Kapil Basu, Director - Corporate and International Taxation, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Private Limited addressed on The Taxation Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 - overview and its impact in the 1st Technical Session. The next Technical Session on Taxation aspects of Digital Economy was addressed by Mr. Diparun Mukherjee, Director - Corporate and International Taxation, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Private Limited. The technical sessions were followed by Q/A session. The Seminar was attended by close to 60 delegates.
