The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized an Online Session on "Adaptive Response towards Healthcare Navigation when Lockdown is phasing out but Covid-19 continues to remain" on Zoom on 23rd May, 2020. Renowned doctors from India, UK and USA had deliberated to discuss the way forward post Lockdown while Covid-19 remains.
The Session was moderated by Prof. Dr Rabin Chakraborty, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, Chairperson, Health Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Senior Vice Chairman, Cardiology Services, Medica Group of Hospitals. Prof. Dr. Rakesh Yadav, MD, DM, AIIMS, New Delhi had deliberated on "Covid-19 and we Indians: today and tomorrow" with an analysis of the present Healthcare scenario in India with the outbreak of the pandemic, Covid-19. He observed that in near future, the patient-doctor relations are bound to go through radical changes. To fight against Covid-19, India needs to increase use of technology in Healthcare, training of primary health workers is most essential.
Dr. Sanjog Kalra, MD, Philadelphia, USA added his views on "Covid 19 and survival", the challenges we are facing today with the outbreak of corona, that has dramatically changed the social lives of human being and the challenges to adapt ourselves to the post-covid world. Dr. Dipak Nandi, MD New York, USA deliberated on the "Recalibration of finances in Healthcare services" with Covid 19 around.
Dr. Anindita Chakraborty, MD, Michigan, USA enlightened on the challenges the young generations are facing and the changes in their daily lives. After the outbreak of Covid, the basic daily routine of almost all kids are jeopardized. Children who are suffering from cognitive behavioural disorder or anxiety, their problems have been aggravated. As basic support guide she advised to stay informed about the outbreak, to limit media exposure and to normalize the stress response and learn how to self-monitor and interact with friends and family members. Dr Angela Hoye, MD, PhD, Hull, East Yorkshire, UK added her views on how the Healthcare industry will shape up with Covid 19 around and the necessary measures to be undertaken.
The deliberations were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Webinar was attended by close to 200 delegates.
