Annual Workshop on Lean Management – The Key to Success, 5th to 6th July, 2019, Chamber Premises.

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I} partnering TQM International Pvt. Ltd. (TQMI} had organized its ninth edition of the two full day Workshop on LEAN MANAGEMENT - The Key to Success on 5th and 6th July, 2019 at The Bengal Chamber, Kolkata. The workshop was conducted by eminent faculty of TQMI. The workshop was organized for industry professionals to enable them to get aware about Lean Management which would help them to achieve manufacturing and service excellence.

The objective of the workshop was to introduce and make them aware about LEAN Management and to provide enough understanding to the participants on how successful implementation of LEAN Management could benefit their organizations immensely resulting in cutting waste, improving value and agility in their respective organizations. Besides, the workshop was organized to showcase the various LEAN tools and techniques and their applicability in different work areas with hands on experience for some tools through exercises and case examples.

The two day workshop started with a very positive note and Mr. lndrajit Sen, President, BCC&I gave a brief introduction of the workshop to the participants.

The faculty present in the workshop was Mr. Deepak Kulshrestha, Principal Consultant, TQM International Pvt Ltd (TQMI}.

Besides, from the Manufacturing and MSME Committee of the Chamber, present were Mr. Debkumar Basu, Chairperson, Mr. P K Sen, Member, Mr. P N Gupta, Member, Mr. Subrata Ray, Member, Mr. K L Saha, Member and Prof. (Dr.) Siddhartha Das, Member.

The workshop had encouraged good industry participation comprising of manufacturing, engineering, then from construction, power, services and other sectors as relevant and altogether the total number of participants for the workshop was 38 (thirty eight} approx.

The two day workshop had really helped the participants to learn the keys which would help in Successful Applications of LEAN Management, resulting in further improvement of efficiency, increase in value of products/goods, processes, systems, services, increase in productivity, etc. leading to further development and growth of industry.
