The Post-Budget Analysis Session ‘Union Budget 2019-20: An In-Depth Analysis’, 6th July, 2019, The Park, Kolkata.

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KPMG India had organized the Post-Budget analysis session 'Union Budget 2019-20: An In-depth Analysis' on 6th July, 2019 at The Park, Kolkata. Mr. Narayanan Ramaswamy, Office Managing Partner - Kolkata, KPMG in India, deliberated the opening remarks.

Prof. Abhirup Sarkar from Indian Statistical Institute deliberated on the economic perspective of the Union Budget 2019-20.

It was followed by experts' comments on implications of the Budget on Direct & Indirect Taxes respectively by KPMG team - Mr. Arun Chhabra, Chartered Accountant, Mr. Arijit Chakraborty, Chartered Accountant and Mr. Pankaj Sinha, Chartered Accountant.

The Chamber's Overview on Union Budget was deliberated by Mr. B. B. Chatterjee, President Designate, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Director (ITC Infotech India Limited), ITC Limited and Special Address on Union Budget was given by Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee, Former President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It was then followed by a Panel Discussion on Industry perspectives of the Budget 2019-20 on Financial Services, Minerals & Mining, Real Estate and Consumer Market. The panelists were Mr. Sanjeev Sancheti, Partner, Sanjeev Sancheti Corporate Advisory Services, Mr. P. S. Bhattacharyya, Former Chairman, Coal India Limited, Mr. Nandu Belani, President, CREDAI Bengal and Mr. Pallav Gupta, Head - Corporate Taxation, ITC Limited (Holding Company), Russell Credit Limited. The Panel Discussion was moderated by Mr. Narayanan Ramaswamy, Office Managing Partner - Kolkata, KPMG in India.

The Post Budget Analysis Session was concluded with lunch. It was attended by close to 300 delegates.
