An Exclusive meeting with Mr. Steven Liu, Director, Taipei World Trade Center, Liaison Office in Kolkata was held on 20th March 2019 at 11 a.m. in The Bengal Chamber Premises.

The Bengal Chamber shares a very good relationship with Taipei World Trade Centre, Kolkata. The Chamber worked closely with Mr. George Lin, Former Director, Taipei World Trade Centre. The Chamber also hosted Mr. James Huang, Chairman, Taiwan External Trade Development Council on 24th January 2018 in the Chamber Premises.

The objective of the meeting with Mr. Steven Liu was to discuss how to enrich the Bilateral Collaboration between Taiwan and India. During the meeting, Mr. Liu apprised about the Trade Delegation from Taiwan visiting Kolkata on 11th April 2019 and requested The Bengal Chamber to organize few factory visits for the delegation in Kolkata. TAITRA Kolkata office organized B2B Meetings for the Taiwan Delegation on 11th April 2019 at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata. The Bengal Chamber organized factory visit to CESC Limited, Budge Budge and Neogi Technologies for the Delegation on 12th April 2019.

Mr. Liu also proposed the Chamber to take a Business Delegation to Taiwan. It would be a great opportunity to strengthen the Economic and Trade relationship between the two countries.
