An Interactive Session and B2B discussion with Dutch Delegation Focusing on Waterways Infrastructure Development, 14th June, 2019, Chamber Premises.

The Bengal Chamber of commerce & Industry (BCC&I) in collaboration with the Consulate of the Netherlands in Kolkata organized an Interactive Session and B2B Discussion with the visiting Dutch delegation on Friday, 14th June 2019 at the Chamber premises. The Ambassador of Netherlands in India His Excellency Marten van den Berg had very kindly graced the occasion.

The objective of this interactive session and B2B discussion was to explore business opportunities and to have possible business tie - ups between the Dutch and the Indian Companies for furthering developments and growth of Maritime trade in India with a prime focus on West Bengal.

There were altogether 15 companies which visited India, out of which 4 companies were involved in dredging, manufacturing and operations of river-sea vessels, propulsion systems, developing port infrastructure, etc. and they had participated in this interactive session.

Following were the Dutch companies present in the programme:

- Alar Infrastructures Pvt Ltd
- Royal IHC
- Van Oord (India) Pvt Ltd
- Hydromaster Propulsion BV/Parikh Power Pvt Ltd


The programme brought together senior government officials, port users, trade representatives, industry representatives, etc. and altogether the total no of delegates present at the programme was approx 30.

Overall the programme was an eye-opener for those in the EXIM trade, the Ship owners/charterers, the Shipping lines/agents, the CHA's, the Port users, the Freight forwarders, the logistics providers, etc. as they had a clear understanding based on the deliberations made by the Dutch companies as well as the interactions during the programme and also the B2B discussions held thereafter.
