The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry is engaging with the Government, Members, Stakeholders and Society in the endeavours to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chamber, as a proactive measure, has shared useful information on history, symptoms, treatment, prevention of COVID-19 prepared by our Chairperson, Health Committee who is a medical professional. This information has been compiled into an Audio-Visual and reading materials, including in Vernacular languages and have been shared with all the members and stakeholders of The Chamber, particularly with the MSMEs, and also with the Consulates.

The Chamber is also connecting corporates, willing to donate healthcare essentials, with relevant authorities of the Government of West Bengal.

The Chamber has communicated some specific issues concerning taxation and the economy, with the concerned authority in the Central Government, who had asked us to suggest measures to alleviate any specific pain points felt by Trade & Industry stakeholders.
