The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry has adopted AE & CA Market in Salt Lake along with Bansdroni Bazar, Gariahat KMC Supermarket and Jodhpur Park Market, for sanitization purpose to support the State Government in its fight against the pandemic.
■ On 21st May, 2021 The Chamber distributed 1000 masks and 800 bottles of sanitizers (each bottle 120 ml size) to each of the Bazar Authority of AE & CA markets in Salt Lake.
■ On 23rd April, 2021, The Chamber had adopted Jodhpur Park Market which has a total of 450 stalls. BCC&I handed over 1500 Masks and 240 Lt Sanitizer to Jodhpur Park Bazar Byabshayi Welfare Society.
■ On 24th April 2021, BCC&I distributed over 1500 Masks and 360 Litre Sanitizer to the Stall owners and Vendors of Bansdroni KMC Supermarket.
1500 Masks and 360 Litre Sanitizer were handed over to Gariahat KMC Market.
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry also distributed sufficient amount of Masks and Sanitizers to the following Police Stations:

# Netaji Nagar Police Station
# Gariahat Police Station

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged a
vaccination camp on 8th June 2021 for the members of the
Chamber and on the same day The Chamber provided 1st dose of
Covishield, free vaccines to 28 Underserved Beneficiaries,
at The Chamber premises under BCC&I and AMRI Vaccination
drive.
The free vaccination were provided to the contractual sub
staffs of the Chamber whose monthly income is less than Rs.
8000/-, Dalhousie Car Parking representatives who work with
the Chamber, Representatives from the Decorators who operate
inside the BCC&I building during various events of the
Chamber.

In
order to support the fight of the state government against
Covid , The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry along
with WBIDC has organized Vaccination drive for Industrial
workers, the first drive was held on 24th June 2021 for
Tractor India (TIL), at Kamarhati unit for 260 industrial
workers (from both Kolkata and Kharagpur unit).
The entire coordination was done by The Chamber for
successfully conducting the drive; like Coordination between
WBIDC and the Corporate for the process of vaccination at
subsidized rate set by the GoWB, arrangements of Ambulance,
Oxygen, Vaccinators, Manpower for Registration and
verification. The Chamber secretariats were present
throughout at the venue to oversee the smooth execution of
the total process.
The second drive was held on 25th June 2021 for Datre
Corporation Limited, at Falta plant for 206 industrial
workers. The entire coordination between WBIDC and the Datre
Corporation Limited for the process of vaccination was done
by The Chamber. Secretariats from The Chamber were also
present at the venue to oversee the smooth execution
of the entire process till the end.

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the leadership of Mr. Biswajit Mohinta, Chairperson, North Bengal Committee, BCC&I and CEO of DAB Technosolution in association with Medica North Bengal Clinic and Mukh Bandh Kam Suru Trust conducted a very successful Covid vaccination camp at Gymkhana Club, Darjeeling. A total of 265 people were vaccinated in this camp.
In continuation of the first dose of Covid vaccination camp organized by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged on 8th June 2021 for the Underserved Beneficiaries, the second dose of the free vaccination camp was again held on 4th September 2021 at AMRI Mukundapur. A total of 28 underserved beneficiaries were vaccinated.
