The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India's oldest institution of its kind tracing its
origins to 1833-34, is into numerous activities. The Chamber's interest and operations range
from organizing mega seminars and relevant events on the 'brick' industry to the new-age 'click'
organizations. We provide a very relevant forum to our stakeholders - Industry, Commerce,
the Government, the Academia and Civil Society - to network, discuss and share best practices on socio-economic issues of concern.
The Chamber's activities range from seminars and workshops to economic and business thought
leadership and its work is conducted through expert Committees, Initiatives and
Task Forces comprising of representatives from Industry, Academia and the Government.
