BLI organised a special workshop titled "Learning From Stalwarts" on 15th January 2026. This exclusive workshop was tailored for mid and senior level professionals, aspiring to transition to leadership role.

The workshop had sessions on the following 2 topics:
1. Making tough decisions.
2. Building a sustainable culture.

The core faculty of the workshop were:

The workshop was moderated by Mr. Supriyo Sinha, Chairperson, BCC&I Leadership Institute and Director - Business Transformation & Corporate Strategy, Peerless Group who guided the discussion and facilitated meaningful engagement between the speakers and participants. Mr. Gautam Ray, Former President, BCC&I and President - Corporate, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and Mr. Subir Chakraborty, Former President, BCC&I and Former MD & CEO, Exide Industries also graced the session with their presence and shared insights about their career and words of encouragement for all the participants. They also cited real life experience on how to tackle tough situations.

Designed as an interactive and insight-driven session, the programme offered participants a rare opportunity to learn directly from distinguished leaders with extensive experience across industry and public service. Drawing from their rich professional journeys, ACM Arup Raha and Mr. Anoop Hoon shared compelling anecdotes on making difficult decisions under pressure, balancing ethical considerations with organisational objectives and leading with clarity during times of uncertainty. They emphasised that effective decision-making requires courage, accountability and a strong value system, while inclusive leadership is rooted in trust, empathy and the ability to build a shared culture that empowers people.

The workshop was attended by 15 participants representing 8 companies in various sectors like Steel and Metals, Pharmaceuticals, Hotel, Hospital, Pest Management, Logistics, Oil and Gas and Consultancy.
