Online Session on Bengal Economic e-Conclave 2021, Day 1 - 25th June 2021

The theme of the Conclave is "Bengal after Election 2021: What Lies beneath- What lies ahead".
The year 2021 is marked crucial for the state of West Bengal for two reasons, firstly the socio-economic restoration owing to the current Pandemic situation, setting up the new normal and secondly state assembly polls. The pandemic has not only taken its toll on millions of people across the world but also on the economy as a whole making the globe come to a standstill and Bengal is no exception. Gaining momentum is the need of the hour and so is formulating a well-defined road map for the same. It is important to understand that in a cooperative federalism structure how this State is doing, as India can't utilize its full capacity unless the central planners focus on the development of this State.
