Uttar Banga Ratna - 2nd Edition 2023
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the 2nd edition of Uttar Banga Ratna held on 10th June 2023, Siliguri, West Bengal.
Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, Chairperson Education Committee of The Bengal Chamber, Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University and Founder and Managing Director, Techno India Group delivering the Welcome Address.
The Uttarer Nakshatra Award was posthumously given to the Northern Star of The Bengali Literature, The Legendary Samares Mazumdar. The Award was handed over to his daughter Ms. Doyel Majumdar Pandey by Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, Chairperson of the Education Committee of The Bengal Chamber & Dr. Abhijit Shevale, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority.
The Education Category award was given to St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling. Mr. Peter Lepcha, The Acting Administrator of the school collected the Award from Ms. Ina Bose, Director - HR, Corporate Communications & Industry Connect, Sister Nivedita University & Techno India Group.
Ms. Mantu Ghosh, Sports Administrator, Siliguri was awarded in the Sports Category. Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, Chairperson of the Education Committee of The Bengal Chamber along with Mr. Sudipto Nandi, Area Sales Manager, Budleaf Tea handed over the Award to Ms. Mantu Ghosh.
Ms. Rita Sengupta, Community Worker of North Bengal was Awarded in the Social Sector Category. The Award was handed over by Prof. (Dr.) Anupam Basu - Pro - Vice Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University along with Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Chairman & CEO, Ascensive Educare Limited.
In Business Category, the recipient of the Award was Mr. Rudra Chatterjee, Managing Director, Luxmi Group and Chairman, Obeetee. Due to his absence, Ms. Laxmi Limbu Kaushal, Director, Luxmi Township & Holdings & Sr Administrative Office Luxmi Group collected the award.
The Health Category award was given to North Bengal Medical College & Hospital. Dr. Sanjay Mallick, MSVP & Dr Sandip Sengupta, Dean from North Bengal Medical College and Hospital collected the Award. The Award was handed over by Prof. (Dr.) Anupam Basu - Pro - Vice Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University along with Mr. Subhodip Ghosh, Director General, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I).
A panel discussion was organised before the felicitation ceremony. Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee the founder and Chairman of Ascensive Group of Companies moderated the discussion.
