His Master’s Songs

The Lifestyle Committee of BCC&I organized His Master's Songs programme to celebrate the Birth Centenary Year of the iconic Shri Salil Chowdhury on Monday, 23rd December 2024 at Lake Club, Kolkata.

The Lifestyle Committee of BCC&I , chaired by Mr. Debaditya Chowdhury, organized a grand celebration of Salil Chowdhury's 100th birth anniversary, on Monday, 23rd December at Lake Club, Kolkata, through a unique musical and theatrical tribute. The evening featuring live orchestration, choir performances, and dramatic storytelling, showcased the legendary composer's profound artistic legacy and his contributions to social activism. Directed by renowned composer Shri Debojyoti Mishra, the event had an immersive experience with dynamic stage design and a blend of classical, folk, and contemporary music.

The evening brought together a galaxy of eminent artists from Kolkata, including Shri Raghab Chakraborty, Smt. Iman Chakraborty, Shri Monomoy Bhattacharjee, Shri Rupankar Bagchi, Smt. Anwesha Dutta Gupta, Smt. Samadipta Mukherjee, Smt. Mekhla Dasgupta, Smt. Aditi Ray, Smt. Shalini Mukherjee, Shri Aritra Dasgupta, and Smt. Porshia Sen and was directed by legendary musician Shri Debojyoti Mishra. The evening was also graced by the presence of Mr. Koushik Banerjee, eminent Radio Jockey and the Emcee of the programme ; Mr. Arnab Basu, President, BCC&I; Mr. Tamal Mukherjee, President, Lake Club.; Mr. Debabrata Datta, Joint Honorary Secretary, Lake Club; Mr. Subrata Guha, Joint Honorary Secretary, Lake Club; Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bhaumik, Chairman, Entertainment Sub-Committee, Lake Club and Mr. Debaditya Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Lifestyle Committee, BCC&I.

BCC&I's tribute to Shri Salil Chowdhury, drew a crowd of 2000 plus, all of whom were completely captivated by the musical extravaganza presented Shri Debojyoti Mishra and his team.
