Rules and Regulations:
▪ 2 (two) members per team is mandatory.
▪ Atleast 1 (one) member has to be associated (employee/investor/ideation stage) with a startup and the other member can be from the Open category.
▪ Participation fee- INR 2000+18% GST per team.
▪ 25 questions in the Prelims Round, 1 point per correct answer & no negative marking.
▪ Top 6 teams make the Final Round.
▪ Any instances of Googling or any other malpractices will lead to direct disqualification.
▪ Organizers and Quiz Master's discretion would be final and sacrosanct on any decision and cannot be challenged.
▪ Participation will be subject to organizer's approval.
Eligibility to be considered under the Startup category:
▪ Founders and employees of startups.
▪ Founders and employees of investment firms.
▪ Individual investors in startups (if you have invested in a startup, kindly provide an investment certificate).
▪ Individuals who have a proof of concept of a Startup (organizers reserve the right to ask for documentation) - even students who have a proof of concept of a startup are eligible..
▪ Startup Evangelists.
▪ Startup Mentors.
▪ In terms of Startups we are considering Unicorns and Soonicorns as eligible too. We understand that incorporation date of some of these companies may not fall
under the 10-year criteria but 2-3 years leeway maybe considered.
Quizmaster: Mr. Titash Banerjea
Knowledge Manager & Director, Gyaanspace Knowledge Consultants LLP
Mr. Banerjea is an entrepreneur, quizmaster and a sports book author. An MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, he has extensive experience in the corporate sector having
headed company wide projects in major multinational corporations such as Daimler and 3M. While being employed in the corporate sector he has also conducted various team synergy sessions.
Since 2016, he has been an entrepreneur and has started up his own startup in the field of knowledge services and gamified education called Gyaanspace. During this time, he has been
involved with several projects for leading brands such as Amazon, Flipkart and Titan. He has also been the host of international level events such as CricIQ by ESPN Cricinfo and the
Rotary Nairobi Quiz Championship and has hosted several events for corporates such as Intel, N.Ranga Rao and Sons, Indiannica Learning and Career Launcher.
He was one of the hosts of the 2023 edition of the Fit India Quiz as well. He has also hosted events in several major institutions such as IIT Kharagpur and Jadavpur University.
He has extensive experience in hosting school quizzes, having conducted quizzes for schools in over 20 different cities. A sports enthusiast and a passionate sports quizzer,
he has also authored the Ultimate IPL Quiz Book, for Rupa Publications and has also authored a book titled 'Of Spins, Sixes and Surprises - 50 defining moments of Indian cricket'
by the same publisher. He has recently been a speaker at the prestigious Bangalore Literature Festival as well.
