About The Tech Incubation Centre
The WEBEL-BCC&I Tech Incubation Centre is a joint initiative of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) and West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (WEBEL) supported by Bandhan Konnagar (which is CSR implementing organization of Bandhan Bank Ltd.) and in association with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Web Prism Dynamics LLP, Seven Boats, AWS, Google Cloud and hospitality partner Craft Coffee.
Set up in 2019, it is one of the incubators in Eastern India with a potential to create startups focusing primarily on technological innovations. It provides
incubation support to tech startups and also aiming to provide accelerator programs in corporate partnership. So far, the incubation centre has incubated more
than 85 startups, and helped produce several success stories, and now have hit the market and accelerated.
WEBEL-BCC&I TECH INCUBATION CENTRE will create an ecosystem that will foster, support innovation and knowledge based entrepreneurship amongst the
Bengal community leading to the creation of wealth and social value through successful ventures.

SUCCESS STORIES
Hornet Decentratech Pvt. Ltd, incubated at Webel-BCC&I Tech Incubation Centre, has bagged an investment of Rs 4 Crores from Mumbai based
Venture Capital Fund, Artha VC, and Kolkata based Angel Investor, Mr. Deepak Daftari.
Hornet was identified by 3 investors during the 2nd edition of BCC&I Tech E Summit in Bengaluru in August 2024, following which his negotiation
with Artha VC started. 9 Investors joined the programme from Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
On 25th February 2025, the success story of Hornet was presented by Mr. Souvik Haldar, Founder & CEO, Hornet Decentratech Pvt. Ltd. in the
Managing Committee Meeting as well.
BCC&I organized a press conference on 26th February 2025, to present the success story of Hornet Decentratech Pvt. Ltd. The event resulted in coverage from prominent
publications, including The Telegraph, The Times of India, and Ei Samay.
