The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS), themed ‘Partnerships for a Resilient Planet’ taking place from 15th February to 17th February 2018 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Chamber is the Regional Partner of TERI - WSDS and organized the Regional Dialogue of WSDS, themed, ‘Urban Landscapes: Transformative Approaches’ which was hosted on 28th February 2017 in Kolkata.

The Chamber also participated in Greenovation Exhibiton which was a significant part of the Summit, and inviting leading domestic and global companies to exhibit their latest technologies, and innovations in the field of energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable transport, water conservation and others.

Under the aegis of the Chamber, Cenergist India and Exide Industries Ltd, both corporate members of the Chamber also participated in the Greenovation Exhibition.Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India was the Chief Guest at WSDS.
