The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a two-day workshop on ‘Making Efficient Managers Inspiring Leaders’ on 16th & 17th December 2016 at Globsyn Room, The Chamber Premises. The workshop was designed by Mr Anoop Hoon, a graduate in Economics from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata, post graduate from XLRI Jamshedpur, a certified Executive Coach specializing in Leadership Coaching and Former President, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. who was also the sole faculty of this workshop.

The programme was designed for managers at middle and senior levels in the organization and from various functional areas who are involved in development of business level strategies, formulating and implementing marketing and sales strategies, and strategic analysis of markets and their re-segmentation.

The objective of the workshop was to assist industry in the East & particularly Bengal, enhance & develop employee efficiency, capacity & effectiveness at work essentially by improving & updating their knowledge, skills along with nurturing a positive attitude. Participants included Senior Level Managers from ITC Ltd, Quaker Chemical India Private Limited, J. Walter Thompson Kolkata and many more.

The workshop provided a perspective on strategic challenges faced while doing business in highly competitive markets, caused primarily due to excess capacity and frequent recessions, and facilitated discussion among participants on the options available at firm level to achieve competitive success even when overall economy and sentiments in general are subdued.
