- ANNUAL PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF GRAM PANCHAYATS UNDER ISGP PROGRAM (PHASE –II)
Programme Overview :-
• Government of West Bengal, with support from Government of India and financial assistance from the World Bank, has designed and launched the second phase of ISGPP (ISGPP-II) in FY 2016-17. This is aimed at scaling up the capacity building support system and performance based grant (PBG) allocation system state wide encompassing all 3,230 GPs of the state.
• The Program Development Objective (PDO) is to strengthen the institutional and financial capacities of Gram Panchayats (GPs) across the State.
• This year Frost & Sullivan is conducting the Assessment of the GPs and preparing report & recommendation for the Government of West Bengal. According to this report, Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat & Rural Development will provide funding support to the individual Gram Panchayats. Under the leadership of Mr. Digbijoy Chakraborty Chairperson – Research Cell , The Bengal Chamber & Director - Frost & Sullivan, The Bengal Chamber and Frost & Sulivan Jointly managing the project and would submit the report to the Government of West Bengal.
Roles & Responsibility of The Bengal Chamber :-
• Necessary assistance in terms of logistics Management for the training & Mock APA
• Field Activity Coordination
• Coordination with District Coordinators of respective districts
• Manpower Support in terms of District Coordinator & Assessor
• Roll Out implementation, follow-up , Crisis Management and Collection of the apparatus after assessment
