- 31ST INDIAN ENGINEERING CONGRESS, 15TH – 18TH DECEMBER 2016, JW MARRIOTT, KOLKATA
The Institution of Engineers (India) organized the 31st Indian Engineering Congress on 15th December to 18th December 2016 held at Hotel JW Marriott, Kolkata. The theme was, “SMART Technologies for Natural Resource Conservation and Sustainable Development.”
The focus of the Indian Engineering Congress has always been to enlighten the technical fraternity about the developments in various fields of Engineering, thereby enabling them to face future challenges and assist in nation building. The principle objective was to create the forum for exchange of information, updating knowledge, promote ideas, broaden operational horizon of engineers from different disciplines and to peruse newer domains and concepts.
This year the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry was the Knowledge Partner for this Indian Engineering Congress. Mr. Sutanu Ghosh, President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & industry presented his Visionary Talk on “Economy, Energy, Engineering and Environment - The 4 Essentials” on 18th December 2016.
