The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with Invest Hong Kong, organized an Interactive Seminar on “How to grow your business in Hong Kong & Beyond” on 27th February 2017 at Taj Gateway Hotel, EM Bypass Kolkata, from 6.30 pm onwards followed by an Interactive Session and Networking Dinner.

The objectives of the seminar were:

• Ease of doing business in Hong Kong to cater to the Mainland China and Asia Pacific market.

• Highlighting the One Belt One Road initiative taken by China.

• Highlighting the opportunities and areas for India-based companies to successfully establish and grow their business in Hong Kong.

Mr. Smarajit Purkayastha, Assistant Director General, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry set the tone with his welcome speech while Mr. Francis Ho, Associate Director General, InvestHK (Government of Hong Kong) graced the session along with Mr. Rampat Gupta, Consultant, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Delhi. Mr. Siddhant Gupte, Consultant, International Operations, Invest Hong Kong India Team moderated the Q&A session.

Mr. Francis Ho delivered a presentation on “Investment Promotion - Where Business Goes to Grow”. His presence and insights on business opportunities in Hong Kong and bilateral business relationships between Hong Kong and India made the session most relevant and meaningful. Mr. Rampat Gupta shared his perspectives on “Exploring Business Opportunities via HKTDC’s Integrated Marketplace.” His insights on the business landscape of Hong Kong enlightened the representatives of the local industries on the opportunities of doing business in Hong Kong.
