JIS Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four Russian Organizations, namely, Russian New University, Scientific Research Institute ‘ASONIKA’, Russian- Indian S&T Centre, and Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology on 23rd February 2017 at Kolkata. Present on the occasion were eminent personalities such as

• Ms.Shornikova Anna, Director-Center of International Cooperation, Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology

• Dr. Sergey Ya. Sukonkin, Director General- Russian-Indian S&T Centre, Moscow

• Mr. Francisco Marmolejo, Lead Education Specialist, India- The World Bank

• Dr. M. P. Poonia, Vice Chairman-AICTE

• Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Director-AICTE

In the mission of being the global leader in scientific development, JIS Group conceptualized the idea of setting up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to promote cutting-edge research and also to achieve the mission of Idea to Market. The CoE would be developed and created in collaboration with the pioneering scientific bodies of the Russian Federation. Both the countries have many common priorities in science and technology and the Centre of Excellence will augment the research and development for societal need. This Centre of Excellence (CoE) will work as a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area. The focus area might be a technology, a business concept, a skill or a broad area of study. With the view of transforming the learning methodology, competency building, exploration of entrepreneurship potentiality, and knowledge sharing, this CoE will foster science and research and skill development with mentoring, technology transfer, education and measurements designed to accelerate their success, and create jobs & revenue for both the stakeholders. It would contribute to an innovative learning and technological exchange environment on the campus. Setting up industry-academia partnership is also a major role of the said CoE.
