The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the sixth edition of its annual Sit ‘n’ Draw on the occasion of Earth Day at the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata on 22nd April 2017. Around 130 children from several City schools participated in the event.

The initiative was supported by International Combustion (India) Limited, Calcutta Tea Traders Association, Earth Day Network, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Mongrace Montessori House, Coca-Cola India and Mio Amore.

The theme of this competition this year was “Teach for the Green Planet”. The objective of the Sit ‘n’ Draw was to imbibe in the future generations the importance of a sustainable natural environment, which will, in turn, help create a secure future for the generations to come.

Shri Animesh Nandi, Gold Medallist from Academy of Fine Arts, was our Chief Guest. Mr. Sutanu Ghosh, President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry also encouraged the students by his august presence.
