The Friends of IT Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the “E Business Summit – 1st Edition” on Saturday, 24th September 2016 at the Williamson Magor Hall, The Chamber Premises. The Summit was focused on discussing and deliberating various issues relating to opportunities in this borderless business world.

Electronic Commerce has become the key enabler in every mature business ecology in the present era. With e-Business becoming an extension of e-Commerce, encompassing directly all aspects of business that function online vis-à-vis indirectly affecting all business, the order of the day was to ensure that there be a platform for exchange of success stories vis-à-vis thrashing out of issues that stand as impediments to making the growing and required business spectrum a whopping success.

In taking the first step to becoming a catalyst in facilitating emergence of competent entrepreneurs and transition of existing SMEs into growth-oriented enterprises through entrepreneurship education, training, research & institution building, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, on the same day, launched a new forum named ‘Entrepreneur’s Business Forum’ to enthuse, incubate and mentor entrepreneurship ventures across industry sectors under the Chairmanship of Mr Simarpreet Singh, who is also the Director of JIS Group.

The E-Business Summit, as intended, became the leading event that focused on the most important trends and developments in global, cross-border and omni-channel e-commerce. The day’s event covered inspiring key notes, market insights, business strategies, useful business cases and of course networking possibilities.
