On the occasion of The Bengal Chamber’s AGM on 14th September 2016, The Bengal Chamber’s very own Calcutta Gallery was inaugurated by Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Commerce & Industries, Finance & Excise, Industrial Reconstruction & Public Enterprises, Government of West Bengal. The Calcutta Gallery, dedicated to our Eternal City, is a pictorial journey down the hallowed pathways of the industrial and business history of Kolkata. The transformation of three villages by the Hooghly into a colossal metropolis is fascinating, awe inspiring and magical. The Gallery is a first-ofits- kind initiative, which portrays the 325 years of progress of Calcutta as a leading city of the world through a collection of rare photographs of the iconic City. It is permanently housed in the Chamber premises.
