The Chamber has looked at the issues raised by International Airlines in the context of their operations from Kolkata Airport. The Chamber felt that there was a need to re-examine the often talked about concerns in their entirety in an effort to arrive at the current realities and focus on future probabilities. We have conducted several interviews with top executives of airline companies and also business travelers to understand the aviation sector better and get a clear picture regarding the aspects of direct international flights to Europe and America and the success of the Gulf carriers.
