The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized The 3rd Best Young HR Professional Award 2015 on 11th September 2015 at The Park, Kolkata. The programme included presentations on HR best practices by previous two years’ award winners.
The best practices presentations by the previous years’ award winners was conceived to allow the young HR Professionals as well as the students studying management on HR learn and understand the practices followed by various organizations on HR policies and practices. They were also able to witness the presentations made by the six finalists in presence of judges for the current year where the Chamber honoured the pioneering spirit of the young HR Managers contributing to the organizational objectives and goals and acknowledging their laudable work in formulating or implementing HR policies and unique HR practices.
The Panel of Judges at this programme comprised Mr. Anupam Anand (Director-Personnel, Hindustan Copper Limited), Prof. P.K Sett (Former Professor of HRM Group of IIMC), Prof. Dipankar Banerjee (Eastern Institute of Management) and Mr. Debdatta Maitra (General Manager- HR, CESC Limited).
The Excellence Award for young HR Professionals also focused on recognizing the young HR professional who had successfully implemented an innovative and progressive HR programme or a project in response to a new or ongoing HR challenge or opportunity within his/her organization. Ms. Sadaf Rahman of Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited was the Winner (General Category), Mr. Sudipta Sen of Spencer’s Retail Limited was the Runner up (General Category) and Ms. Sneha Jain Paul of Vedant Fashions Private Limited was the winner (Academia and SSI Category) for this year.
The awards were presented to such young HR Professionals who substantially contributed towards enhancing their organization’s brand-reputation, achieving business objectives, and demonstrating organizational leadership and who also served as professional role models.
