The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and SATS Academy of Critical Care organized a Panel Discussion on ‘Diabetes in ICU & Glycemic Control in Non-Diabetic Critically Ill Patients’ on 7th April 2016 at Hotel Kenilworth on the occasion of the World Health Day.

The theme of World Health Day this year is ‘Beat Diabetes: Scale up prevention, strengthen care and enhance surveillance.’ The Keynote Address was by Dr. George Fernandes, Vice President Operations, B M Birla Heart Research Centre. Panelists were Dr. Binayak Sinha, Consultant Diabetologist, AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata; Dr. Samit Ghoshal, Consultant Diabetologist, Nightangle Hospital, Kolkata; Dr. Nirmalya Roy, Consultant Internal Medicine, B M Birla Heart Research Centre; Dr. Suresh Ramasubban, Head of the Department, Critical Care, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata and Dr. Biplab Ghosh, Consultant Nephrologist, RTIICS, Kolkata.
