The Indirect Taxes Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the 2nd batch of the Certificate Course on Indirect Taxes in November-December 2014. There would be 9 days classes held on Fridays (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm) and Saturdays (10.00 am – 4:30 pm) on Indirect Taxes (Excise, Customs, Service Tax, CENVAT Credit Rules both Excise / Service Tax, VAT, FTP, Duty Drawback etc.) under the overall guidance of Mr. T. B. Chatterjee, Chairperson - Indirect Taxes Committee, BCC&I and Senior Executive Vice President & Company Secretary, DIC India Limited. Other faculty members are Mr. P K Saha, Mr. Vivek Jalan, Mr. Mrityunjay Acharjee, Mr. Sushil Goel, Mr. Debasish Ghosh, Mr. Rip Das and Ms. Shivani Agarwall who are the experts from the industry in taxation matters. This is an extremely relevant training programme for taxation professionals for overall improvement of operational efficiency in their respective organizations. Mostly senior and mid-level executives of different organizations are taking part in the course. The course is being attended by more than 25 participants.
