The Sports Development Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an enchanting adda session on “Bengal Football – The Way Forward” on Tuesday, 9th December 2014 at the Palladian Lounge in the Chamber Premises.
The Chamber has been actively participating in bridging the gap between the sports world and the industry world. The Chamber has been regularly organizing a Corporate Golf Tournament and regular interactive sessions on Indian Sports. Kolkata being the Mecca of Indian Football, the Chamber’s objective is to focus on commercialization for development of football. A first step was to organize an informal discussion with football greats and administrators.
The adda session included personalities such as legendary footballer Shri P.K. Banerjee, Shri Saharsh Parekh, Technical Director of Atletico de Kolkata, Shri Utpal Ganguly, Hon. Secretary, The Indian Football Association (West Bengal), Shri Subrata Dutta, President- The Indian Football Association (West Bengal) & Senior Vice President, All India Football Federation, Shri Biswarup Dey, Hon. Treasurer, Cricket Association of Bengal, Shri Goutam Sarkar, Former International Footballer, Shri Goutam Roy, Eminent Football Enthusiast & Shri Kallol Dutta, Chairman and Managing Director Andrew Yule and Company Limited. The adda session was moderated by the eminent journalist, Shri Debashish Datta.
