UMFCCI extended a warm welcome and was extremely positive and encouraging towards the formation of CECCI. From UMFCCI, Dr. Maung Maung Lay, Vice-President; Ambassador Tint Swai (Retd.), the CEO; Mr. Aye Lwin, Joint Secretary General and U Aung Myint were confirmed for the meeting, though Mr. Aung, the President of UMFCCI could not make it for the meeting at the very last moment. The senior office bearers of UMFCCI agreed that it was important to create a robust forum that would address the common issues and cross-border trade and commerce. Both The Bengal Chamber and UMFCCI unanimously felt that Myanmar being a focal point and trade route for business and general infrastructure, it will only fortify the Confederation with UMFCCI’s participation.
