The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized its Technology Quiz 2015 on 27th February in the Williamson Magor Hall in the Chamber premises. It was the sixth edition of the IT Quiz with a wider spectrum. While the theme for the Quiz was ‘Technology’, the questions covered a wide gamut of interest areas — with each question having a Technology angle but not necessarily oriented to technical issues/processes. This Quiz now has a unique positioning of its own --- a little away from the more familiar general and business quizzes, which makes it all the more interesting and enjoyable. The renowned Quiz Master, Mr. Charanpreet Singh (CP), was the QM. 50 teams participated from IT companies, corporates, premier colleges and hard core quizzers.
Mr. Raktim Kumar Nag and Mr. Somnath Chanda of the team Potoldanga Thunder Club were the 2nd runners up. Mr. Abhishek Das and Mr. Sudip Kalyan Dey, representing Tata Consultancy Services were the 1st runners up.
Mr. Partha Ghatak and Mr. Rabi Sankar Saha of Intel Inside, Mental Outside were the winners. The awards were presented by Mr. Pulak Chamaria, Executive Director, Infinity Group and Mr. Sanjoy Sen, Senior Vice President, ITC Infotech India Ltd. and Co-Chairperson of IT Committee, BCC&I.
