The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Full Circle organized a workshop on “Women Leadership” on 16th May 2015, 10.00 am to 12.30 pm, Williamson Magor Hall, 1st Level, The Bengal Chamber.
A brief about the workshop
In spite of increase of women in the numbers at the entry level, their proportion in management positions remains unacceptably low, with just a minor percentage succeeding in breaking through the glass ceiling. The interactive session included question and answer segments which not only addressed the main reasons which prevent the advancement of women in their careers but also addressed the strategy on how to overcome them.

About the Faculty
Ms. Sunita Thawani, the Founder CEO of ‘Full Circle’ is an accomplished professional with senior management and Board Room experience. In spite of a break of 12 years in her career she made a successful comeback. She has a rich 25 years of legal experience with Tata Group with last 10 years as DGM (Legal), Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company Ltd (JUSCO). For last several years she has been passionately working in the space of gender inclusivity and women leadership in corporate India which has led to creation of ‘Full Circle’. She has been a member of Tata Group Task Force to develop an awareness module on prevention of Sexual Harassment at workplace. She is advising several companies in this area. She also conducts Gender Sensitization programs for organizations and advises them on worldwide best practices to create an inclusive environment for women. She has taken several Women Leadership programs over last several years for different organizations.
The Workshop had participation from leading organizations like Tata Steel Limited, PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited, BT Associates, Hindalco Industries Ltd, Ujjivan Financial Services, JIS College of Engineering, BIEMS, etc.
