1st July has been traditionally celebrated as Doctor’s Day in India, commemorating the Birth Anniversary of the legendary Dr. B. C. Roy. The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, organized a unique Quiz named ‘Clash of the Titans’ on Doctor’s Day, at Swissotel, 6 p.m. onwards.
The quiz was organized celebrating the glorious history of medicine and its hidden gems. It was a Quiz for the Doctors and by the Doctors! An exclusive selection of doctors - leaders in their chosen specialties took part in the event. The quiz featured questions from Medical history, discoveries, trivia, its representation in culture et al. More than 75 teams participated in the Quiz. Dr. Arindam Kar, Dr. Partha Sarathi Goswami, Dr. Soubhadra Chakraborty, Dr. Partha Sarathi Ghatak were the Quiz Masters. The Winners were Dr. Chandramouli Bhattacharya and Dr. Prasad Krishnan. 1st Runners Up were Dr. Rahul Guha Biswas and Dr. Palash Kumar. 2nd Runners Up were Dr. Siddhartha Banerjee and Dr. Suresh Ramasubban. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister-of-State (Independent Charge), Department of Women, Child Development & Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. More than 275 doctors were present as participants and guests. The fun filled event of the evening was followed by a gala networking dinner.
