A one day seminar on ‘Energy Conservation Awareness Programme’, was organized by Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA), Bengal Chamber and Enfragy along with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) at Nagaland , Mokokchung. This was in continuation of the Chamber’s project on “Creation and Maintenance of Energy Conservation Awareness portal for the State of Nagaland Aiming Behavioural Changes for the Energy Users”. Participants were children from schools namely Model Hr Sec School, Jubilee Hr Sec School, Edith Douglas Hr Sec School, Mayangnokcha Hr Sec School, Children School and Imsutemjen Hr Sec School. While Mr. Nilanjan Bose, Resource Person and Consultant of NSDA and Arnab Chakraborty, Assistant Director, Bengal Chamber explained the need of energy efficiency and also explained the significance of star rated appliances via a film and presentation, short speeches were delivered by Executive Engineer, Mokokchung, Mr. Moa Aier. The discussion was chaired by Ms. Meyimenla and Introductory and Welcome Address delivered by Mr. P T Philip, NSDA. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. T K Halder, Electrical Inspector, NSDA.
