On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Sports Development Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Subrata Dutta, paid tribute to those ladies whose untiring toils have made their children illustrious achievers and leaders in their respective walks of life. The Chamber celebrated this unique day with a very special programme – “Ratnagarbha”.

The Chamber paid tribute to Late Kalyanai Mukherjee, mother of Smt. Arundhuti Bhattacharya; Smt. Nirupa Ganguly, mother of Shri Sourav Ganguly; Smt. Nandita Sengupta, mother of Smt. Rituparna Sengupta, Late Smt. Subrata Dasgupta, mother of Smt. Swagata Lakshmi Dasgupta and Smt. Kalavati Devi, mother of Smt. Bimbavati Devi. Smt Arundhati Bhattacharya, the first lady Chairperson of State Bank of India was also felicitated on the occasion. The programme was moderated by Smt. Madhumanti Moitra, and included performances by Smt Bratati Bandhopadhyay, Smt. Tithi Debbarman and Smt. Swagatha Lakshmi Dasgupta.
