An Interactive Session on e-voting organized by the Bengal Chamber in association with NSDL, 23rd May 2014, Chamber premises
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) conducted a very interesting and productive interactive session on e-voting in the Chamber premises on 23rd May 2014. The discussion was centred on how to initiate, activate and conduct e-voting through NSDL. Mr Supratim Mitra, Assistant Vice President, NSDL and his team conducted the interactive session and during the session various questions on the diverse provisions of the Companies Act 2013 and the relevant rules relating to electronic voting and voting through postal ballot were raised. There were varied interpretations offered and also the recent Bombay High Court Order dated May 8, 2014 regarding electronic voting and postal ballot was discussed.
