FOR THE YEAR 2014 - 2015

- Industry-Institute Meet in association with Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of West Bengal, 16th March 2015, Chamber premises

The Bengal Chamber endeavours to act as a nodal agency in Bengal as a catalyst for skill development, for dissemination of information on skills, for identification of opportunities and gaps in areas of skills, and to work with local bodies while facilitating the imparting of skills training including the desired outcomes in terms of linking jobs with skilled youth.
In this context, the Bengal Chamber organized the “Industry – Institute Meet” on 16th March 2015 with the objective of creating job opportunities for Diploma Engineers from polytechnics under the Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of West Bengal. This project of the Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of West Bengal was led by Dr. Parijat De, Director, Department of Technical Education & Training. The Bengal Chamber is delighted to be a part of this project to help facilitate the recruitment of students in relevant industries while appreciating the industry requirements and the need to focus on grooming and qualification of future students. The Meet witnessed Industry participation from Exide, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, SAIL, Tata Steel Processing And Distribution Limited, Biecco Lawrie Limited, USD HR Solutions, Siegwald Leadership and Training Academy Pvt. Ltd. and many more.
